PostSubject: Sleeping on a park bench [kyo]   Mon Jul 18, 2011 1:42 am

Being homeless sucked. Yomi couldn't find anywhere to stay for any length of time...He was a vagrant, living on the streets or in the parks. He had no skills to get a job to get a house, or even a tiny apartment.

He was quickly discovering that the city was no place for a hybrid werewolf...

He had found a blanket to curl up under on a relatively comfortable park bench hidden behind some trees...he had discovered that few people went through this part of the park, so it was perfect for at least a temporary resting place...

He never realized how vulnerable he was living outside...It had been natural for him when he lived with his pack, so he never thought twice about doing it here in the city....

Kyo walked through the park, his head lowered as he thought about what he was going to do today. Training was a must. He was going to try and get things done today. He had to train his slave and he was looking for a few more. He was heading to the main palace so that he would be able to greet the royals. He had heard that the King and Queen of the demons did not live in the area right now. They were out for some reason unknown to him. He was going to try and find out what they were doing. So far he only knew of a few demons and that to him was not enough. There was a priest that followed him in the shadows, his name was Miyavi. The boy was alright but he was married with two children and very happy at that. He believed in the faith of Malguavian. As Kyo moved through the park he saw a bench to rest on. He did not even noptice Yomi at all in fact he just sat down and then rested. His long blond hair trailed over his shoulders as he tried to think of what his next move was It was like chess. All just a game to the knight. You win some and then you lose some.

Yomi had curled himself up at one end of the bench, blanket pulled over himself so he just looked like a pile of blankets...he shifted slightly when he felt the bench move, yawning softly and peeking out from under the blanket, "hey, I'm sleeping here." He mumbled. He sniffed softly and paused....this guy was a full-blooded demon. "Ehh, go find your own bench, this one is mine." He said, gold eyes glaring at him defiantly. The little demon-werewolf had never met a pure demon before, so he had no idea how to act around one...not that he really cared, he just wanted to get a good night's sleep....j

Kyo sat there for a moment and then his keen pointed ears flickered as he heard the sounds of cloth on the soft blades of grass. His eyes lid and he spread his legs to look down between and underneath himself to see a…Yomi? It was something and he could smell his scent! It was like dirt! It was not one full scent but something fowl! It was like being hit by a pile of walking trash! Not to mention the smell of pollen made his nose itch. And did he tell him what to do? Did this creature have the audacity to tell him where he needed to be? And where his body should be? Now see, there was an issue with that… Kyo did whatever the fuck he wanted and this boy was not getting it, at all.

“Punk, I sit where ever the fuck I want. Deal with it or move. I am tired my self.”

Yomi's foul scent came from living on the streets for so long. He didn't really have anywhere to get a real shower or to clean his only clothes...the rest of his scent was the musky and woodsy scent of a werewolf mixed with the burnt wood scent of a fire demon. Yomi was a true hellhound, a mixed breed who could survive the flames of hell itself.

Yomi got up from under thr bench, blanket draped over himself. "this is my bench, go find your own." He grumbled, glaring at Kyo. He had no reason to fear a pure demon, he had never met one before...his confidence and territorial attitude were clearly from his werewolf side...he wouldn't give up what he saw as his withouy good reason.

Kyo looked at the youth, he was stubborn, he was brave...He was annoying. Kyo crossed his arms and refused to move. This was a public park and just because he was resting under it, he did not deserve it. Perhaps it was something within the Hellhound that made him care to stand his ground? but Kyo was not budging from his position. His eyes rolled as he then waited to see what this man was going to do.

"I said no."

And that was that to him. He saw now reason to move. Nor was he goign to. Kyo honestly was dead set on sitting here.

Yomi's eyes flashed slightly when the demon refused to budge. He narrowed his glare as the soft brown of his eyes quickly turned gold, like werewolf eyes. Yomi was young and a little dumb, and he really hated to be told what to do.

"Its my bench, I claimed it. Don't you understand territory?" He growled. "Now go away before I set you on fire or something." He said, crossing his arms.

He took a slow breath in through his nose, letting smoke rise from his mouth as he exhaled...his inner body was literally red hot...his skin somehow able to hide it from view...

Right away at the mere hint of sulfur and ash his eyes flicked a bright violet color. His lips curled at the ends while he watched the boy. A spark of lightening jolted around Kyo’s form, giving the boy a nice far warning. But he was surely not going to move. And even still Kyo waited to see what the boy was going to say, and when he did he just snorted and then chuckled. Like a child had asked where do babies come from, more so then Yomi was trying to keep a bench that was open. True as it may, Yomi had been there first, but it was a demon and their nature to want everything their way and to cause any form of malice and problems while doing what ever. Kyo then waited to see what this boy was going to do, he did not care if this punk shit firecrackers, he was not moving. And no hot headed teen was going to make him move either.

“Am I supposed to be scared or threatened right now? Or do I duck and over eh?”

He said with a mocking tone. Kyo then moved to uncross his arms. His fingers flexing while he waited to see if Yomi was going to give up or give into a fight or just walk away. Kyo was hoping for the fight.

Fire demons were naturally very cocky and over-confident beings, and that's exactly how Yomi was acting. He seemed completely unafraid of Kyo...in his mind, Kyo was a non-threat. Yet he didn't seem to know what to do next. Yomi was tired, he just wanted to sleep in peace.

He groaned, letting his arms fall to his sides. "c'mon...all I wanna do is sleep." He said, sighing in frustration. If he hadn't been so tired, he would've been more willing to fight for the bench. "can't you just go somewhere else?" He asked, pouting.

Yomi could be quite immature sometimes...he looked like a kid and often acted like one despite being an adult...probably because he had been a mamma's boy...and being homeless didn't seem to change that.

As Kyo watched Yomi pout like a child he chuckled at him. To him he figured that the boy backed down because he knew he was out matched. And as such kyo was going to rub it in. But then an idea hit him like a ton of bricks. If this boy smelled of sulfur and hell, then why was he outside on the streets? Mix breed or not that could be highly beneficial to him in more than one way. Yomi may not be a demon nor a full blooded one either, but he did have pyrokenesis. But he could smell the mutt in him as well. And that was possibly why he was on the streets maybe? He was one of those I love the earth and wanna live in it type creatures? They were the ones that willingly rejected the common society. They did not want to take part in technology nor anything else. This could be the way this boy was? Or perhaps Kyo was thinking too highly of Yomi?

“If you have abilities like that why live on the streets? You are a bit young to be out here on your own? What’s wrong? Your pack disown you? Were you the runt?”

He said with a half grin. He was sure it had to be something like that.

Yomi was impatiently waiting for Kyo to get up and move his ass somewhere else...He crossed his arms again and sighed, still glaring at him...But when the demon spoke, he hit a very raw nerve when he said the word 'runt'...Yomi's eyes flashed red and he gave an inhumanly deep growl.

"I'm not a runt!" He shouted. "And I'm not some baby who got kicked out of my pack. I left to try and make something of myself..." He growled...the skin around his eyes growing dark, a sign he was ready to shift forms if Kyo pissed him off more.

"I don't see where you get off calling me a runt. You're like, what, an inch taller than me." He snorted. Yomi could be immature, but he was observant. Even though Kyo was sitting, he could tell the man was no more than an inch or two taller than the five-foot-nothing mix-breed...And he wasn't going to just let him get by calling him a runt...

Ahhh, so he hit a nerve now did he? Kyo chuckled and then saw and smelled the heat rolling off the youth. He was trying to start something eh? Kyo was not going to let some kid make him back down from anything at all. In fact he was going to encourage the boy on more, see what his anger could do. Fire, it did nothing to Kyo but tickle. Kyo was not immune to flames, but it did almost no damage at times depending on whom was wielding it. Kyo on the other hand was going to see what this pup could do. It was at least amusing to him if nothing else.

“Ah what is the matter pup? I hit a nerve of truth? Come on now, how weak of a story and excuse is that? Doesn’t look like you made much of yourself now does it? Poor thing… I feel sorry for the whole lot of you!”

Kyo grinned and then his fingers curled ready for anything Yomi could do to him. Kyo was already equaling his weight through his legs He was ready to see just how heated this mutt could get. If he was strong enough Kyo could use this lad as a tool. And much more if Yomi Was willing to listen. If not, kyo had some other ideas, but nothing could be done without a show of ability. There was nothing more alluring then fighting to the demon.

Yomi just growled at Kyo, eyes glowing faintly. He hated being called a pup or a kid...he was 50 years old, but looked to be in his early 20's...The demon blood in him made him age much slower than a normal human or werewolf.

"I haven't been in the city that long...I used to live in a damn village." He grumbled. "How was I supposed to know that you need experience to get a job here." He sighed. He was slowly calming down, not wanting to set his own clothing on fire.... Using fire and shifting forms took a lot of energy, and being homeless meant Yomi couldn't feed himself regularly. He was too tired and hungry to blow up at Kyo....

If he had been fed well, he would've shifted forms and spewed what was essentially 'lava-vomit' at the demon...which was his molten stomach acids that acted like napalm on the skin. Even a pure demon would find it very painful...but Yomi was too hungry to even attempt that.

Watching the pup calm down it was like his entire day went bad. But even though he was disappointed, it did not bother hi. More so he was expecting a show. Kyo had lived for many decades and so he had some skill in knowledge of this realm and what went on here. As he heard Yomi speak he was gathering the boy was too weak. It was also he could see it in the kids face that he was indeed malnourished and as such this would therein be a lack of any kind of performance.

“When is the last time you ate something eh? You are worthless to me dead you know?”

He said as he moved to stand up finally. He stretched his limbs and then rolled his shoulders as he looked at Yomi. He then walked over to the boy and then eyed him. He coulod see that he was lacvking very much in life. But that all came with the exception he was still very young. Kyo crossed his arms and then sighed. He mentally shook his head. He figured he would help this… thing. Not for being nice but because he could use what he was.

“Come on, I don’t need you dying out here. We can use that at our HQ. You can sleep on the bench and die, or come with me to get a real meal, kid. Your choice…”

Kyo did not wait to see if the boy was coming after him or not, but he was headed in the direction of a place he went too. It was owned by a set of Demon sisters, twins in fact! They were some of the best cooks in demon cuisine he had met so far so taking Yomi there was possibly a good thing. Even if the boy did not like Kyo, he could at least feed the kid. Next step was surely a bath.

Yomi looked at Kyo as he got up, frowning slightly. He backed away several steps, not liking what he had said. "useless to you? Why would I work for you anyway?" He said, crossing his arms...he had been tf by his mother never to trust a pure demon. He wasn't about to ignore her advice, especially since Kyo wanted to use him...

"I wont be used by you." He grumbled, moving to sit on the bench. Yomi could be very stubborn sometimes...Kyo would need to convince him I was worth it to work for him. Or Yomi's strengths would never be in his hands.
